I am actually really excited for this prompt! I find it interesting the different reading habits that everyone has!

My Reading Habits
I normally only read when the kids are at school or when they are sleeping.
This ensures I have the time to focus on the book and I am not neglecting any responsibilities. Plus, it's quiet lol.

I only read in certain places. The bed, the couch and the bath when I am feeling like I need to be extra lol. Oddly enough relaxing in a bubble bath with some candles going and getting lost in a novel is just what someone needs at the end of the day!

When I am reading; I always have the same 3 things with me:
My Harry Potter pillow
My great comfy blanket
and my post it notes.

If I am reading a physical copy - I will stick a small post-it on a page so I know to refer back to it when I am doing my review. If it is an ebook; I will just use the highlight option!

Aside from all of this, I do not have any other habits. I just like to read and be comfy while doing so! I think that is what every reader wants though!

I LOVE discovering new authors. That is one of the main things I love about our booking community. Everyone has different taste and everyone reads different authors - and when we share these things, it helps us discover new people on almost a daily basis!

Gina L. Maxwell
Visit her website!

I was introduced to her by another blogger who had written a review on some of her novels. I fell in love instantly. She writes romance; and she also writes m/m with a twist on old stories. I love it. I mean just look at these covers!

Diana A. Hicks
Visit her website!

I discovered this author through a blog tour company that I used from time to time to review novels for! I fell in love instantly. Her characters are so well written and the stories really draw you in and leave you wanting more! If you haven't checked her out, you should!

Challenges I did in 2019

This challenge was hosted by Because Reading.
My signup post *for an example* can be found HERE!

I loved this challenge because I am obsessed with series novels! I have a hard time letting go of characters and I love how you can continue to read about them with series! I also have a hard time fitting a series in when I am reading so many stand alone novels that need to be reviewed. So for me, this was a good way to fit in something I had been itching to get my hands on!

2020 Challenges I am Doing

This is hosted by Because Reading as well.
You can sign up HERE!

I am excited for this one because my eReader is PACKED & this challenge is all about cleaning it out! It seems so fun because there are many different levels and fun things to do along the way!

This is hosted Unconventional Bookworms.
You can sing up HERE!

I an excited about this one! I get so wrapped up in reading things that appeal to me; that sometimes I forget to keep up with what is current. Don't get me wrong, I am not going to overdo it on this one, as I do not want to spend the entire year just reading new releases. However, I do have some that I have my eye on and I want to make sure I get to them because I am WAY excited about them!

See Series on Goodreads!

I don't know if any of you have read Meredith Wild before - or if her books are even your thing, but I feel like everyone should give them a go at one point or another. I believe you won't be disappointed! Blake Landon is in a class all his own.. I know I am more of a sports romance/men in uniform/mma fighter romance kind of person - but this one just knocked my socks off. I tend to shy away from the Billionaire romance novels because, lets be series, Gideon Cross kind of ruined them all for me - but Blake.. oh, Blake.

He is everything I look for when reading a novel. Strong willed, Alpha, Determined, Mindful, Intriguing, Scary - but not too scary; Willful; Headstrong - and the list can go on and on. His whole demeanor in this is amazing. There were times I loved him, times I wanted to punch him and times where I cried right along with him. I love a person you can root for during an entire series and still feel vindicated in the end.

I have read a lot and I have tons of book boyfriends - but Blake takes the cake for me in 2019. Hands down.

I was actually terrified to do this one when I was making the prompts for the post. I am sort of OCD; but also sort of all over the place, scatter-brained and completely out in left field a lot of the time. BUT - I feel like I have this under control for the most part.

Planner
I did use Google Calendar at one point, but I have since gotten a planner that I LOVE! I use this to write down what days I am doing what post. While I do not post every single day; except right now for this event; I do want to keep track. I write down what day I am posting what review - I write down which weekly memes I want to take part in - I write down which days I want to do my own post with original content. I also use this to keep track of promo post I have signed up for!

I bought a second (super cheap dollar store planner - way less expensive than the other one) - to keep track of Twitter; Blogger; FB; Insta; GR; and all kinds of other stats. This way it doesn't clutter the posting planner that I have.

Google Docs
At any given time, I have 6-7 of these open. I use them to write my reviews out; keep a list of post I want to make; challenges I am doing - or anything else that catches my eye. It's an easy way to add to things as I go instead of having to sit down and start everything from scratch every single day.

Aside from that; I just try and hold myself accountable. I am super all over the place a lot of the time though.

I will ALWAYS prefer actual books over E-Books. With that said; I will read either.
I can honestly say though, most of the books I have in e-format, I also have in print. That is also a feat in itself, because I have 3 kindles at max space for books. Trust me; my husband has heart attacks daily when it comes to the amount of books and book space in this place. I always tell him he will be okay..

I know most of you can relate to this, but nothing comes close to the feel of a book in your hand with that new book smell!

Gracious. Again, I picked this prompt and I have not one single clue where to begin with this. I can promise that this will be scattered and not in any kind of order what-so-ever; I am literally making this list as I think of the things. I'm a pretty big fly by your seat kinda gal (; Welp; here we go!

1. My bookcases are a mess right now.
Now; hear me out. We are moving within the next 3 months; so we have semi packed some things and things were moved around for Holiday stuff and yadda, yadda some more stuff. Normally, they would be in alphabetical order and I would have the signed ones separate; hardbacks in their own spot; paperbacks and so forth. Since we decided to get a bigger place, when purchasing books I have just been kind of setting them on the shelves like a mad woman. It's insanity around here.

2. I don't take notes when I am reading.
GASP! I know; completely unheard of. When I am reading a physical copy, if I keep stopping to take notes, the way my brain works - I find it harder and harder to get back into reading the book. I will take a second or 2 and jot down a page number that I want to use a quote from for the review, because that takes a few seconds! Now, if I am reading on the kindle, I will just use the highlight feature as I read and then go back and make my notes!

3. I'm picky on what I read.
I have certain genres that I stick to when I read. I am not against trying new ones, and I will if the book appeals to me or if someone I know and trust recommends something! I have even been known to grab a book based off of a review from some of you book loving bloggers out there! When I blogged before, I would sign up for all kinds of tours and request books and stuff just because I wanted to make sure I have plenty of review content to my blog. Not this time. I want to read for me. I want to read for enjoyment. I don't mind having a blog that is mostly 3-5 star ratings. My time is precious and I've learned that if there is no interest in the book, I just won't finish it.

4. I'm a challenge snob.
I LOVE challenges. Of all kinds. Especially the reading ones! To me, they help me dig my way through a TBR list of my creation - but gives me guidelines and time tables to actually stick to - which helps me not slack off and actually accomplish things.

5. I'm OCD with my post.
My post have to be set up certain ways or I won't post them. I don't know why, when or how it started, but I have templates now for just about every kind of post I do - and they all follow the same kind of layout. Even when we get promotional stuff, I change it around (with the host permission) to fit my layout. To me everything just kind of looks better uniformed!

6. I only read in certain places.
My cough; the tub; the car and bed.
I used to take the kindle to work to read, but I found I wasn't retaining the book in my head like I do when I read at home. I cannot read in public because the noise is just insanely distracting. I tried reading on an airplane one time, but the person next to me ask 1935798349456 questions; that I literally put the book away just so they would stop talking. (that sounds rude; but I was super nice to the person, I promise!)

7. I'm stupidly snarky.
This isn't really a confession if you know me. It's not a rude or obnoxious kind of snarky either, it is just how I talk.

8. I'm legit just pulling these out of my head right now.
People. I am trying here. I really am! This hockey game is super distracting!

9. OH! I love sports books!
See; just straight pulling things out of thin air right now! But really; Toni Aleo, Jaci Burton, Lori Foster - all 3 of my favorite favorite authors when it comes to sports romances!

10. I love making blogging friends!
It's one of the reasons I put this together! I love connecting to like minded people! I love being introduced to novels from others that I may not have come across on a normal basis. I love reading other peoples points of view when it comes to similar novels we have read. We really do have one amazing community.

I use all kinds of different background noise. For instance; right now I am watching/listening to the Nashville Preds Hockey Game as I schedule some post!

A lot of the time I am listening to Spotify. I have a ton of different play list that I use for various things and I have one specifically for blogging! Sometimes I will use my "around the house" one, which is normally for when I am cleaning and such - but it work for blogging as well!

If I am not listening to music, then I am listening to a podcast. There are SOOOOOO many out there! I am really into the True Crime Podcast right now, so I listen to things such as:

True Crime Garage
Serial
Up and Vanished
(anything by Payne Lindsey)
S-Town
Sworn
Atlanta Monster
Without Warning
Dirty John
The Last Podcast on the Left
In The Dark

and sooooo many more! I am completely obsessed with these things!

My carry over from last year is only at 25 right now.
This is books I bought; books I grabbed from NetGalley and books I told authors I would read.

I know this number will go up; it ALWAYS goes up! One of my main goals is to KEEP IT UNDER 100! I think once it starts creeping over that, it starts to get too overwhelming and I feel like I cannot dig my way out of it. I am keeping it kind of separated on my list though.

MY TBR LIST
1. Books from Authors (select)
2. Books from NetGalley (limited)
3. Books I've purchased with the intent to review.
4. Read-A-Thons I will be doing.
5. Books for Challenges I join.
6. Books from my shelves I currently have.. Books to be read FOR ME.

I am sure I will add another list or two - I always do; but I plan to keep it fun for myself; so I won't overdo it! Another goal I have would be to end the year with my list UNDER 50! I think that would be amazing. I am almost positive that will NOT happen; but I am always up for a good challenge!

Oh man. As most of you know, I blogged about 8 years ago for 2 years and then took a way longer break than I wanted. Life tends to get you sometimes! I came back in Oct of 2019; so I didn't rack up tons of amazing things BUT I did manage to meet some AMAZING people and they have made this experience about 100 times better than I imagined it would be coming back!

In fact, two of the lovely ladies I met - and myself - are cooking up something rather fun for everyone! We have decided to create a Book Club! We are calling it Whole Latte Books and we are inviting ANYONE interested to check us out! The more readers - the better the conversation! You can find all of the information our announcement post - COMING SOON!

Aside from the people; I would say author interaction. It NEVER fails to bring out the inner fan girl in me any time an author talks to me on Twitter. Especially the ones I have been reading for YEARS! No joke, Lori Foster is my all time F A V O R I T E author and I still get little fan girl squeals going when she talks to me haha.

I am excited to see all the answers for this one!
I have a longggg list that I keep adding to for this, but I am only going to post 3 - otherwise I will be here all night.
I picked these three, because they are ones I have been waiting on since reading the other books in the series! I am a H U G E series kind of person because I have a hard time letting go of characters. I am sure most of you can connect with that!

Goodreads Links -- Twice as Sexy -- Savage Burn -- One Timer -- Add them to your List!

The three lovely ladies above are three of my favorite authors. I have read just about every single book released by them and have no come across one I do not like yet. If you follow me, you will hear me talk about them a lot! I have A TON of other books I am waiting on, I just thought it would be nice to highlight these ones! I will have another post coming with some more I am waiting on; so hopefully you will all find some good ones to add to your list@
