Gracious. Again, I picked this prompt and I have not one single clue where to begin with this. I can promise that this will be scattered and not in any kind of order what-so-ever; I am literally making this list as I think of the things. I'm a pretty big fly by your seat kinda gal (; Welp; here we go!

1. My bookcases are a mess right now.
Now; hear me out. We are moving within the next 3 months; so we have semi packed some things and things were moved around for Holiday stuff and yadda, yadda some more stuff. Normally, they would be in alphabetical order and I would have the signed ones separate; hardbacks in their own spot; paperbacks and so forth. Since we decided to get a bigger place, when purchasing books I have just been kind of setting them on the shelves like a mad woman. It's insanity around here.

2. I don't take notes when I am reading.
GASP! I know; completely unheard of. When I am reading a physical copy, if I keep stopping to take notes, the way my brain works - I find it harder and harder to get back into reading the book. I will take a second or 2 and jot down a page number that I want to use a quote from for the review, because that takes a few seconds! Now, if I am reading on the kindle, I will just use the highlight feature as I read and then go back and make my notes!

3. I'm picky on what I read.
I have certain genres that I stick to when I read. I am not against trying new ones, and I will if the book appeals to me or if someone I know and trust recommends something! I have even been known to grab a book based off of a review from some of you book loving bloggers out there! When I blogged before, I would sign up for all kinds of tours and request books and stuff just because I wanted to make sure I have plenty of review content to my blog. Not this time. I want to read for me. I want to read for enjoyment. I don't mind having a blog that is mostly 3-5 star ratings. My time is precious and I've learned that if there is no interest in the book, I just won't finish it.

4. I'm a challenge snob.
I LOVE challenges. Of all kinds. Especially the reading ones! To me, they help me dig my way through a TBR list of my creation - but gives me guidelines and time tables to actually stick to - which helps me not slack off and actually accomplish things.

5. I'm OCD with my post.
My post have to be set up certain ways or I won't post them. I don't know why, when or how it started, but I have templates now for just about every kind of post I do - and they all follow the same kind of layout. Even when we get promotional stuff, I change it around (with the host permission) to fit my layout. To me everything just kind of looks better uniformed!

6. I only read in certain places.
My cough; the tub; the car and bed.
I used to take the kindle to work to read, but I found I wasn't retaining the book in my head like I do when I read at home. I cannot read in public because the noise is just insanely distracting. I tried reading on an airplane one time, but the person next to me ask 1935798349456 questions; that I literally put the book away just so they would stop talking. (that sounds rude; but I was super nice to the person, I promise!)

7. I'm stupidly snarky.
This isn't really a confession if you know me. It's not a rude or obnoxious kind of snarky either, it is just how I talk.

8. I'm legit just pulling these out of my head right now.
People. I am trying here. I really am! This hockey game is super distracting!

9. OH! I love sports books!
See; just straight pulling things out of thin air right now! But really; Toni Aleo, Jaci Burton, Lori Foster - all 3 of my favorite favorite authors when it comes to sports romances!

10. I love making blogging friends!
It's one of the reasons I put this together! I love connecting to like minded people! I love being introduced to novels from others that I may not have come across on a normal basis. I love reading other peoples points of view when it comes to similar novels we have read. We really do have one amazing community.

I use all kinds of different background noise. For instance; right now I am watching/listening to the Nashville Preds Hockey Game as I schedule some post!

A lot of the time I am listening to Spotify. I have a ton of different play list that I use for various things and I have one specifically for blogging! Sometimes I will use my "around the house" one, which is normally for when I am cleaning and such - but it work for blogging as well!

If I am not listening to music, then I am listening to a podcast. There are SOOOOOO many out there! I am really into the True Crime Podcast right now, so I listen to things such as:

True Crime Garage
Serial
Up and Vanished
(anything by Payne Lindsey)
S-Town
Sworn
Atlanta Monster
Without Warning
Dirty John
The Last Podcast on the Left
In The Dark

and sooooo many more! I am completely obsessed with these things!

My carry over from last year is only at 25 right now.
This is books I bought; books I grabbed from NetGalley and books I told authors I would read.

I know this number will go up; it ALWAYS goes up! One of my main goals is to KEEP IT UNDER 100! I think once it starts creeping over that, it starts to get too overwhelming and I feel like I cannot dig my way out of it. I am keeping it kind of separated on my list though.

MY TBR LIST
1. Books from Authors (select)
2. Books from NetGalley (limited)
3. Books I've purchased with the intent to review.
4. Read-A-Thons I will be doing.
5. Books for Challenges I join.
6. Books from my shelves I currently have.. Books to be read FOR ME.

I am sure I will add another list or two - I always do; but I plan to keep it fun for myself; so I won't overdo it! Another goal I have would be to end the year with my list UNDER 50! I think that would be amazing. I am almost positive that will NOT happen; but I am always up for a good challenge!

Oh man. As most of you know, I blogged about 8 years ago for 2 years and then took a way longer break than I wanted. Life tends to get you sometimes! I came back in Oct of 2019; so I didn't rack up tons of amazing things BUT I did manage to meet some AMAZING people and they have made this experience about 100 times better than I imagined it would be coming back!

In fact, two of the lovely ladies I met - and myself - are cooking up something rather fun for everyone! We have decided to create a Book Club! We are calling it Whole Latte Books and we are inviting ANYONE interested to check us out! The more readers - the better the conversation! You can find all of the information our announcement post - COMING SOON!

Aside from the people; I would say author interaction. It NEVER fails to bring out the inner fan girl in me any time an author talks to me on Twitter. Especially the ones I have been reading for YEARS! No joke, Lori Foster is my all time F A V O R I T E author and I still get little fan girl squeals going when she talks to me haha.

I am excited to see all the answers for this one!
I have a longggg list that I keep adding to for this, but I am only going to post 3 - otherwise I will be here all night.
I picked these three, because they are ones I have been waiting on since reading the other books in the series! I am a H U G E series kind of person because I have a hard time letting go of characters. I am sure most of you can connect with that!

Goodreads Links -- Twice as Sexy -- Savage Burn -- One Timer -- Add them to your List!

The three lovely ladies above are three of my favorite authors. I have read just about every single book released by them and have no come across one I do not like yet. If you follow me, you will hear me talk about them a lot! I have A TON of other books I am waiting on, I just thought it would be nice to highlight these ones! I will have another post coming with some more I am waiting on; so hopefully you will all find some good ones to add to your list@

When I say "worst" I don't mean the bottom of your shoe kind of read. I mean - did you read something that just didn't live up to what you thought it would? The hype just wasn't there for you like others? Or did you read something that just made you shake your head the entire time? I know we all have different opinions on novels, so I am interested to see where everything falls on this one.. Remember though - we are NOT Author Bashing here; just sharing reads from 2019 that we loved and didn't!

Best Read
Cover takes you to Goodreads page!

You can see my review of this novel - HERE.
It helps explain why this book rocked my socks!
I didn't read a whole lot towards the end of the year; as that is a busy time for us around here - and I was crafting a lot more than reading! This is a book that will stick with me though! I got behind (my kindle broke!) on the other novels in the series, but if they are anything like this one, they will rock my life as well! If you love romance; laughter; heart string pulling and character swooning; then you should give this one a go!

Worst Read
Cover takes you to Goodreads page!

Okay; now this wasn't a HORRIBLE; YOU MUST NOT READ THIS EVER - kind of read. It was just one of those; "everyone hyped this up and it just didn't do it for me" kind of reads. I, for whatever reason, just could not get into it. I finished it; because it was part of a readathon I did - but this one was just not for me at all.

If you enjoyed this one - I AM GLAD! I also encourage everyone to still read this if you are interested! I think many people will actually enjoy it!

Oh man. I set these prompts and I am still trying to figure this one out! So I will just go ahead and post what I have so far.

2020 Goals
1. Set reasonable GR goal.
2. Post 4 times a week.
3. Post 2 reviews a week.
4. READ FOR ME; not because I HAVE to.
5. Participate in at least 1 read-a-thon
6. Participate in at least 2 challenges
7. Be more active on Twitter and Instagram
8. Actually use my dang Pinterest!
9. Attend a Reading Event!

I think that is it for now! I think, for me, these are reasonable goals. I love to read, but sometimes I get wrapped up in the need to have something read and posted by a certain time that I forgot reading is supposed to be fun for me. So I am going to cut down on the tours I do and the books I accept - unless they really appeal to me!

-------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for stopping in today!
What are your goals?
Do some of them match mine?
I'd love to hear from you all!
